HOW TO QUALIFY FOR SOLAR POWER?

Both the house and the owner need to qualify if the goal is to get the project finance, lease, or PPA (power purchase agreement).

Paying options include cash, finance loan, lease, or PPA.

To pay cash, 50 % is required to start the project and the other 50 % after installation.

To finance the project with a loan, the homeowner must have a FICO score of 650 or better or have a cosigner with a score of 650 or better. We work with several solar financiers, including SunlightLoanpalMosaicConcert, and Enium.

When you lease, the leasing company receives the benefits of federal and state incentives, not the homeowner. We work with Sunnova and Sunrun.

With the Power Purchase Agreement, the customer pays for the production of the solar system. We work with Sunnova and Sunrun.

STEPS TO HAVE A SOLAR POWER HOME

QUALIFICATION OF PROJECT: First we design a system that will work to cover your electric power needs or most of them, we take into consideration: how many kilowatts hours you use in a year, the tilt and the azimuth of your roof, the solar availability thru the year of your roof, the shade from trees or objects in and around your roof, the year and condition of your roof. With this information, we will know the size of your system and the cost.

QUALIFICATION OF HOMEOWNER: The second step is for the homeowner to decide if he/she wants to move forward with the project. If he/she does, then he/she needs to approve the project and sign an application for a loan, lease, or PPA.

SITE SURVEY: We schedule a day and a time for a site survey, to take pictures of his/her attic, his/her roof, his/her electric circuit breaker, his/her electric meter. If a new roof is needed, we include it in the loan. If a new circuit breaker is needed, we include it in the loan.

PROJECT PERMITS: We request the permits required from your city.

INSTALLATION: We install the system.

FINAL INSPECTION: After all is fine, the system gets turned on.
